Tucumcari, NM Part 2

Next door to the Blue Swallow we were enticed by their sign for souvenirs, not like we haven't seen some along the way already, (and purchased a few). Inside this wonderful store, we were greeted by Flora May, owner of Route 66 Welcome Center and Gift Shop. Flora May was a treat and worth the stop just to meet her. I enjoyed hearing that her son made the motorcycle in front of the shop all with spare parts. Check out the authentic pan head motor.

I just love some of the great signs along the way.

We ate at Del's and enjoyed seeing the mountain in behind the restaurant.

I loved seeing this restored Texaco station. The motorcycle and the Cadillac are painted on the doors. Great artwork on both sides of the building as well.

And of course no town is complete without a camel.
