Las Vegas

It was great to catch up with an old friend this morning. Jimmy Philippou used to own and run Charlies  Restaurant and moved 11 years ago to North Las Vegas. He now owns 2 Farmer Boys restaurants. We caught up with Jimmy at the N. Las Vegas Blvd. location and I have to say we were impressed. They started farm to table before it was an in thing. The food was outstanding and the conversation was excellent also. A two hour time block was well spent. Jimmy, thank you for breakfast and all of your time and suggestions on what to do while we are in town. Our own home town could use a Farmer Boys Restaurant!

We went to Counts Vamp'd restaurant for dinner tonight. They had a meet and greet with much of the show's cast from Counts Kustomz. We had a very fine time.

Not knowing much about Vegas, my friend Jimmy schooled me a bit this morning. Vegas is built in a bowl and surrounded by mountains. When the buildings aren't in the way, you can actually see that. Beautiful mountains, some still snow capped.

We did a quick trip down to Freemont Street where they have placed a dome over the street. The dome happens to be an LED screen. Pretty amazing, complete with zip lining if you are so inclined, of which I am not.

Another fine day!
Till Tomorrow.

  1. Just checking in. Still enjoying following along.
Judy and I start our road trip today, 970 miles to Pigeon Forge, TN. We are looking forward to seeing those Smoky Mountains and a little R&R.
    Have another fun day today.
