Washington

We left Cannon Beach and headed north on the 101 to Astoria, OR, for breakfast. Nice mural at the entry to Astoria.

This incredible stained glass dome is inside the Pacific County Courthouse.

We snapped a photo of this magnificent bridge over the Columbia River heading into Washington.

After arriving in Washington, we saw the Pacific for about 3 miles. Then we saw this for the next 140 miles. It was a very peaceful drive today.

We stopped off in the Olympic National Forest in Quinault to view the world's largest spruce tree. It is indeed rather big.

Beautiful Lake Quinault.

After 140 miles, the Ocean came back into view.

As we checked into our motel in Forks, WA for the night, Rita was explaining to Vilkesh the owner of the Town Motel (a great place to stay by the way) that we were on a 15,000 mile trip. This biker told me that he has that beat. He is traveling with his companion, Bertha, on an 80,000 mile trip around the world. Meet Bertha. And Mark, hats off to you, and especially for promoting Teenage Cancer Trust.

Till Tomorrow!
