Go Rest High, On That Mountain!

It was great to get together with friends from back home. Todd and Jan have been on a road trip of their own and start an overland tour of Alaska until their Alaska Cruise starts. Thanks for visiting Todd and Jan.

And the next leg of our journey begins. We have rented a 20' u-haul and called for a wrecker to let me load on his truck and then I backed into the u-haul. Not the way we had planned but we still got to see incredible scenery. I imagine this is what it feels like to be in an RV. Closed in, AC on and limited views. Being on a motorcycle is communing with nature. The wind, the occasional rain or snow, the full panoramic views, the smells and the sounds. There is nothing like communing with nature on a motorcycle. Some people argue that riding on a bicycle is the best way but there are easy tests for insanity. The test is, ask me if it is insane to ride up a mountain on a bicycle and I will answer in the affirmative. Riding with a motor really is best!

The views across this valley, though obscured by the clouds, are amazing. It is easy to believe we are looking across 100 miles to the mountains in the distance.

We are just north of Denali National Park. The views are incredible, though a bit overcast. Tomorrow morning looks to be clear so we will have better views then.

Till Tomorrow!
